Capabilities

What our preclinical CRO services cover

Every programme is designed around your molecule and your decision point. We build bespoke cellular models, ADMET packages and bioanalytical methods for small molecules, biologics, mRNA and advanced therapies.

Custom in vitro assays

Assay design and development built around your molecule and your endpoint — not a fixed catalogue.

  • Cytotoxicity, viability, proliferation and apoptosis
  • Reporter, kinase and receptor-binding assays
  • Signalling pathway and target engagement readouts
  • Immunomodulation and inflammation panels

2D and 3D cell models

Physiologically relevant models that de-risk decisions before you commit to in vivo work.

  • Spheroids, organoid-like and co-culture systems
  • Primary cells and disease-relevant cell lines
  • STR-authenticated cell banks (ANSI/ATCC ASN-0002)
  • Mycoplasma-tested, fully traceable material

ADMET and mechanism of action

Early absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicity data to support candidate selection.

  • Metabolic stability and permeability
  • Plasma protein binding and CYP interaction
  • Genotoxicity and organ-specific toxicity screens
  • Dose-response and MoA characterisation

Regulated bioanalysis

Analytical and molecular bioanalysis with method validation ready for a regulatory dossier.

  • LC-MS/MS, qPCR, dPCR and ELISA platforms
  • Method development, qualification and ICH Q2(R2) validation
  • Stability, sample logistics and chain of custody
  • ANVISA, FDA, EMA and ICH aligned documentation
How we work

From scoping call to regulator-ready report

01

Scoping call

A PhD scientist — not a salesperson — maps your question, endpoints and constraints.

02

Technical proposal

Study design, controls, acceptance criteria, timeline and price in a single document.

03

Execution

Work runs in our own laboratories under strict NDA, with scheduled progress checkpoints.

04

Reporting

Raw data, statistics and an interpreted report you can hand to partners or regulators.

FAQ

Preclinical CRO services, answered

What is a preclinical CRO?

A preclinical contract research organization runs the laboratory studies that take a candidate from discovery to first-in-human readiness — in vitro pharmacology, ADMET, mechanism of action and bioanalysis. Base Científica is a boutique preclinical CRO focused on custom in vitro and molecular work rather than off-the-shelf packages.

Which preclinical CRO services does Base Científica offer?

Custom in vitro assay design, 2D and 3D cell models, ADMET and mechanism-of-action studies, STR cell line authentication, and bioanalytical method development and validation under ICH Q2(R2).

Do you work with international sponsors?

Yes. We serve pharma, biotech, CROs and reagent manufacturers worldwide, working in English, with international shipping of samples and documentation aligned to ANVISA, FDA, EMA and ICH expectations.

How long does a preclinical study take?

Most custom in vitro and bioanalytical programmes run in 6 to 12 weeks from signed scope, depending on assay development needs. Cell line authentication is delivered in about 10 days.

Can you take on white-label work for another CRO?

Yes. We routinely act as the invisible laboratory arm for other CROs under strict NDA and never compete for your sponsor relationship.
